   In a bowl, whisk together butter, sugar, vanilla essence and some lemon zest.

   To that, add some curd and mix again.

   Add in the baking powder, baking soda and some salt.

   Mix till everything is well combined, add some milk and give this a final mix.

   Transfer the batter into a greased and lined tin.

   Now take an apple and cut it into thin slices.

   Arrange the slices on top of the batter, sprinkle some sugar, bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 35 to 40 minutes.

   Cut a few slices for yourself and enjoy.
